10 Activities for My Toddler This Week in the Hamptons

It's Monday and the house guests are gone. Here are our activities for the week.
1. Visit Farmer Tate and his animals at his farm stand on Noyac Road near the corner of Water Mill Towd Rd. It's the best no-touch petting zoo around. Make noises with Gilbert the Goat and shop the farm stand for fresh eggs and Tate's daughter's excellent cookies.
2. Toddler story time Wednesdays at 10:30am at the Hampton Library in Bridgehampton. The strict new children's librarian has made this weekly event a packed-house affair.
3. A little Tanglewood in Bridgehampton Wednesday night at 6:30pm. The Bridgehampton Chamber Music Society hosts their annual free plein air concert at the Bridgehampton Historical Society on Montauk Highway, across from Candy Kitchen. Bring a picnic dinner and make sure your kid stays quiet, however, mine will be home asleep at 7:00pm.
4. Off to Sag Harbor for the wonderful Goat on a Boat Puppet Theatre. Thursday at 11:00am puppeteer Liz will preview her new show, The Princess, the Frog and the Pea. Liz has playgroups and shows all week long. Call 725-4193 for information/reservations. A little too much commotion for me, but one of the best activities for kids on the East End.
5. We'll hit Gibson Beach after the afternoon nap.
6. We haven't missed a week at Children's Museum of the East End (CMEE) since it opened last fall. A big indoor playground that is much more civilized during the week. CMEE is located on the Bridge/Sagg Turnpike in Bridgehampton.
7. The Bridgehampton Train Station for Nanny pickup is a highlight of the week for us all. Get out of your Cayenne and climb up to the platform to let your kid watch the train roll in.
8. Munchkin takes a weekly Music Together Class at the Art Farm in Bridgehampton. Although it's outside under a nice big tree, this class sucks. Send your Nanny. The only fun part of class is that your kid gets to pet farm animals. These classes are already booked since there really isn't much else in the way of classes here. Try the other Music Together group at the new Unitarian Church in Bridgehampton, 329-5086.
9. Lunch at Candy Kitchen or Poxobogue Golf. Crisp bacon served at both.
10. A few playdates with similarly-adorable toddlers.
